The Cavaliers didn’t play any D last night and it killed them in the end.  J.J. Hickson led the way for the Cavs last night with 24 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots on 10 of 12 shooting from the floor!  Antawn Jamison only shot 7 of 19 from the floor but he still finished up with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal last night.  Daniel Gibson (15 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal), Ramon Sessions (14 points, 3 rebounds, 13 assists and 1 blocked shot) and Joey Graham (14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists  in 23 minutes) also pitched in for the Cavaliers last night.  The Cavaliers have now lost 19 games in a row as their record stands at 8-38!

The Cavs really never had much of a chance in this game as the Cetlics were leading this game 67-45 at the half!  Christian Eyenga (15 points, 3 rebounds and 1 blocked shot), Manny Harris (14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists) and Ramon Sessions (14 points, 1 rebound and 7 assists) led the way for the Cavs last night.  J.J. Hickson was solid despite shooting too much as he finished up with 12 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocked shots in only 24 minutes on the floor!  Antawn Jamison (11 points), Joey Graham (10 points) and Samardo Samuels (10 points) also pitched in for the Cavs offensively last night.  The Cavaliers are now a very pathetic 8-37 on the year.

Antawn Jamison is on fire in January for the Cleveland Cavaliers

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by admin on Wednesday 26 January 2011 at 1:27 am

34-year old power forward Antawn Jamison is on fire for the Cavs so far this January.  Jamison has played in 12 games so far this month and he is averaging 36.9 minutes, 23.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  He has now played in 41 games (23 starts) for the Cavaliers so far this year and he is averaging 31.5 minutes, 17.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.  Teams are going to be calling the Cavs about  dealing for Jamison but they shouldn’t move him unless they get a fair return which should include a first round draft pick.

24-year old SG/PG Daniel Gibson is starting to heat up for the Cleveland Cavaliers.  In his last four games, Gibson is averaging 35.5 minutes, 15.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.  He has now played in 36 games (13 starts) for the Cavs so far this year and he is averaging 29.9 minutes, 13.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.  Gibson is also shooting an amazing 45% from three point range for the Cavs so far this year.  Gibson is starting to show that he’s much more than a shooter, which was his only role when LeBron was in town.

The Cavaliers were outscored 30-24 in the 4th quarter which did them in last night.  Antawn Jamison led the way for the Cavs last night with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.  Daniel Gibson also had a solid game with 19 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal but he missed a potential game winning three point shot at the buzzer.  Ramon Sessions did a solid job last night as he finished up with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Sessions also had a nasty dunk over Nets’ center Brook Lopez late in this game.  Joey Graham (14 points) and J.J. Hickson (12 points) also pitched in for the Cavs last night.  The Cavaliers are now 8-36 on the year.

The Cavaliers only shot 32.1% from the floor and that did them in last night in Chicago.  Antawn Jamison led the way for the Cavs in this game with 31 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.  J.J. Hickson only shot 5 of 19 from the floor last night but he still finished up with 13 points, 20 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Daniel Gibson only shot 3 of 12 from the floor but he still finished up with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  The Cavaliers are now a pathetic 8-35 on the year.

The Cavs only shot 38.2% from the floor last night while allowing the Bucks to shoot 50.6% from the floor which explains another rough home loss.  Antawn Jamison led the way for the Cavs last night with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Ramon Sessions only shot 4 of 14 from the floor last night but he still finished up with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.  Daniel Gibson only shot 4 of 11 from the floor but he still finished up with 15 points, 1 rebound and 8 assists.  The Cavaliers are now 8-34 on the season.

Ramon Sessions is stepping up for the Cleveland Cavaliers

With Mo Williams down for a while, the Cavs are turning to 24-year old point guard Ramon Sessions to run the offense.  In his last three games, Sessions is averaging 34.0 minutes, 18.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.  The Cavs need him to keep up the good work.  Sessions has now played in 39 games (7 starts) for the Cavs so far this year and he is averaging 22.9 minutes, 10.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.  I expect Sessions to keep playing well with Mo Williams out of action.

The Cleveland Cavaliers shut down Mo Williams

Blogged under Big Cavaliers News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by admin on Thursday 20 January 2011 at 5:54 pm

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without 28-year old point guard Mo Williams indefinitely due to a hip problem.  Williams has played in 33 games (32 starts) for the Cavs so far this year and he is averaging 30.4 minutes, 13.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 7.1  assists per game.  His hip is probably one of the reasons that his shooting is way off so far this year.  Williams is only hitting 38.7% of his shots from the floor and 26.6% of his shots from three point range.  The Cavaliers should let Williams take his time getting healthy because he didn’t help the team much by playing hurt.
