The Cavaliers shot 57.7% from the floor and they outrebounded the Mavericks 39-24 last night which were the biggest reasons for the win. LeBron James led the way as usual for the Cavs last night with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Mo Williams also had a solid game with 25 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist as he was 7 for 7 shooting on 3-pointers. The Cavaliers also got outstanding production from the bench last night as Anderson Varejao led the way with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists on 7 of 7 shooting from the floor. Jamario Moon (13 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist) and Delonte West (10 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists) also had great games for the Cavs. The Cavs are now 12-5 on the season.

The Cavaliers outrebounded the Bobcats 46-35 last night but it didn’t matter as the Bobcats just seemed to want it more. LeBron James led the way for the Cavs last night with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists but he was outplayed by small forward Gerald Wallace who posterized him a couple of times. Mo Williams had a solid game too last night with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Shaquille O’Neal started last night after missing the previous six games and he responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. The Cavaliers are now 11-5 on the year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are having problems at center right now

Shaquille O’Neal and Zydrunas Ilgauskas were supposed to combine to give the Cavaliers outstanding production at center this season but that just hasn’t happened yet. Shaq has missed the last six games with a strained shoulder. He has played in 9 games (all starts) for the Cavaliers this season and he is averaging 24.3 minutes, 11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 blocked shots per game. Big Z has not stepped up while Shaq has been out of action. He has played in 15 games (6 starts) for the Cavs this season and he is averaging 24.9 minutes, 7.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.3 blocked shots. His shooting stroke has also been way off as he is only hitting 37.4% from the floor. The Cavaliers need both Shaq and Z healthy to get the team back to full force.

Delonte West has been awful this season for the Cleveland Cavaliers

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 27 November 2009 at 9:02 am

The Cavaliers are lucky that they signed Anthony Parker over the summer because Delonte West is a mess right now. He has played in 7 games (0 starts) for the Cavs so far this season and he is averaging 19.1 minutes, 4.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. The Cavaliers would probably like to trade West but he has little value right now because of his legal issues and the fact that he is bipolar. The Cavs seem to be missing something without West on the basketball court so they need him to pick his game back up.

The Cavs shot 50% from the floor last night and that was a big reason for the nice road win. LeBron James led the way for the Cavaliers last night with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Mo Williams had a solid game running the offense as he finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals. Anthony Parker (13 points, 3 rebounds) and Daniel Gibson (13 points, 2 assists) also had decent games for the Cavs last night. The Cavaliers are 11-4 on the year.
