The Off-season has been outstanding for the Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers are really ready to win the NBA Championship this season. Bringing in Shaquille O’Neal to deal with Dwight Howard was a master stroke by the Cavs as all they gave up for him were Sasha Pavlovic and Ben Wallace who won’t be missed. The Cavaliers brought in SG/SF Anthony Parker and SF/PF Jamario Moon to give the Cavs defense on the perimeter which was a huge problem last season against the Magic. The Cavs also decided to re-sign the “Wild Thing” Anderson Varejao to a long term contract as he will be the starting power forward. The Cavs also brought in forwards Rob Kurz and Leon Powe. Powe has a huge upside but he will be rehabbing most of this season. SG/SF Daniel Green will likely be one of the last players on the bench this season as a rookie. Joe Smith left the Cavs to sign with the Hawks as a free agent and the Cavs released Tarence Kinsey. The Cavs probably won’t miss either of those players.
