Cleveland Cavaliers 90, Washington Wizards 89
The Cavaliers only dressed 8 players last night including two of which who were called up from the D-League earlier in the day. The reason for this is that the 4 players the Cavs acquired in the big trade on Thursday weren’t eligible to play yet. The Cavaliers did outrebound the Wizards 43-31 last night and it was a huge factor in the win. LeBron James led the way for the Cavaliers with 33 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. He also hit the game winning free throws at the end of the game. Damon Jones really stepped up as he had his best game in years. He scored 27 points and had 4 assists in 44 minutes. Jones also hit 7 of 11 3-point shots. Devin Brown also made the most of a rare start for the Cavs as he finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals in 43 minutes. The Cavs are now 31-24 on the season.
