Detroit Pistons 79, Cleveland Cavaliers 76

All I could think of watching this game was Nick Nolte getting told to “Take The Shot” at the start of the movie 48 Hours, because that’s what LeBron James should have done on the drive to the basket at the end of the game. He had a step on Tayshaun Prince and would have had a lay-up to tie the game. But instead, he kicked the ball out to Donyell Marshall who missed a wide open three pointer….which essentially ended this ballgame. The Cavs were led by Zydrunas Ilgauskas who had 22 points and 13 rebounds. The Cavs must keep going to the big man because the Pistons have no one on their roster that can stop him! Larry Hughes was only 4 for 13 from the floor and he finished up with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Anderson Varejao was outstanding off of the bench with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. LeBron James had an off game as he was only 5 of 15 from the floor, but he finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Sasha Pavlovic (9 points) and Drew Gooden (6 points, 5 rebounds) both had off games. The Cavs are now down 1-0 to the Pistons in this series.
